 Marine Conservation All dive sites in Moalboal are now marine sanctuaries and all divers are required to pay PHP 100.00/diver per day (approximately €2.00) to the dive shop directly. Fishing is not allowed in these areas, which has resulted in a huge increase in the population. The proceeds of the fees will be used to for anchoring buoys and alternative livelyhood programmes for the local fishermen. |
