Philippines comprises 7,107 islands in the heart of South East Asia, extending more than 1.700 km in the direction of the Equator. These islands are divided into three main areas: Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Luzon is the major northern island where you will find the capital Manila, the Visayas is the middle cluster of islands featuring tropical beaches and spectacular diving and Mindanao is the southernmost group of islands with a very diverse topography.

The Philippines is the only Christian country in Asia with over 90% of the population claiming to follow Christian faiths. The largest of the minority religious group are the Muslims, who live on Mindanao and in the Sulu archipelago. Contrary to common belief, the Philippines is a very safe country to travel to.
