Sangat Island, located 2km off the coast of Busuanga in Coron Bay, forms part of the Calamian Group in the Palawan Province. The Calamian Islands are the Philippines western-most islands and are known for their pristine beauty, natural attractions ad mystic appeal.

More than 700 hectars in size, the island is a wildlife reserve and provides a unique natural experience with its crystal clear waters, hotsprings, lush tropical vegetation and fascinating variety of flora and fauna. The resort is and will continue to be the only development on the island and its beachfront setting grants easy access to snorkelling, diving and boating activities.

Sangat Island Reserve is also the only resort offering diving facilities in Coron Bay/Busuanga world famous for the Japanese shipwrecks, some of which are located just off the beach.

Many of the employees at this eco-resort belong to the local Tagbanua tribe, which still retain the unique culture and add to the undeveloped character of the region. The individual cottage-style accommodation is based on local architecture and local materials, with fabulous views over the beach and Bay of Coron.
