![]() Malapascua is located about 8 km north-east of You can walk around Malapascua in about 2 hours and its population of around 4000 mostly live off tourism, fishing, boat building or coconuts. There are no cars on the island and most buildings are only one floor high. The locals are friendly and it is impossible not to relax here and soak up the atmosphere of being truly off-the-beaten track. It is also said to be the only place in the world to watch the elusive Thresher Sharks, and in fact, well over half of the visitors to the island are divers. |
